From our workshop to your drive

We visit and measure up

A free, no-obligation quotation and a visit to your home or business. We look at the drive, the gradient and how you want to use the gate.

We make it in Leeds

Your gate is designed and fabricated in our own workshop by our team of fabricators, in mild steel or wrought iron.

We galvanise the steel

Molten zinc bonds with the steel, so the rust protection becomes part of the gate rather than a coat sitting on top of it.

We fit it

Our own installers deliver the gate, hang it and set up the automation, access control and intercom.

We look after it

The first 12 months of maintenance are free. After that you can take out a maintenance contract, so a small glitch gets fixed before it becomes a bigger problem.

Gate stuck? Most repairs are done the same day.

We repair, maintain and service electric gates throughout Yorkshire, and 95% of our repairs are normally completed on site on the same day.

Fire exit door sets custom made in house to suit existing openings. Normally a 45mm thick leaf with a honeycomb or mineral wool core, and a panic bar as standard.

Do you make the gates yourselves?

Yes. Colway design, fabricate and fit gates to your exact specification. The steel is worked in our Leeds workshop and fitted by our own team.

Is the quote really free?

Yes. We offer a free, no-obligation quotation and a visit to your home or business.

Can you automate a gate on a sloping drive?

Often, yes. Where the gradient of the drive will not allow swing gates, a sliding gate kit is the usual alternative.

Which electric gate systems do you install?

We are specialist installers of CAME, NICE, BENINCA and G.B.D electric gate systems, along with a wide range of access control and intercom systems.

How quickly can you repair my gate?

95% of our repairs are normally completed on site on the same day. If your gate needs a special part, it will usually be fitted the next working day.
